Ditch the fluff and build real trust
Get your website's inclusion statement done right with a 90-minute workshop and comprehensive expert review.
3rd Feb, 1.30pm on Zoom (book by 1.30pm, 1st Feb)
“We are committed to equality” 🤒
“We celebrate diversity and welcome everyone” 🤢
“We value all people regardless of race, creed, or sexual orientation” 🤮
Yeah, you’re not falling for that.
You don’t need this corporate fluff or tick-box energy, do you?
No, you need a better statement that lands
75%
of consumers globally say that diversity and inclusion – or a lack thereof – influence their purchase decisions
(Kanta Brand Inclusion Index 2024)
57%
of consumers are more loyal to brands that commit to addressing social inequities in their actions
(Deloitte Insights, 2021)
You can’t afford to assume that your inclusive aura will shine through the screen and grab your ideal client's heart without you saying a thing.
People are looking for proof. They want to know you’re committed to this. If they don’t see it? ‘Poof’ off they go.
Every day you stay silent on this is another day you risk losing a client who really needs the magic you offer.
Ok ok Sumi, I need an inclusion statement.
Your inclusion statement would never sound like that corporate guff. No, you'd mean every single word. You want to show you actually get it, not just sound like you do.
Maybe you have an inclusion statement, maybe you haven’t tried because you know, deep down, it'd just be you, a blinking cursor, and a whole lot of nothing.
Either way, you're not about churning out generic statements, are you?
But I feel duty-bound to tell you that even your most heartfelt, "I believe in everyone showing up as their full selves" statement can still whiff of fluffy BS.
Why? Because "nice" doesn't equal "impactful."
It's the difference between an "aww, that's sweet" and a "DAMN, they really mean that." And you want the "DAMN," right?
Let's ditch the well-intentioned fluff and get you writing an inclusion statement that doesn't just sound good, it lands
Get an inclusion statement done (and done right) before your tea gets cold. Seriously, 90 minutes. I’m efficient like that…
Together, we'll write (or rewrite) a statement that screams ‘you’re welcome here’ to your dream clients.
Because I know you want to get this right, I'll also personally review your statement and polish it up, so you can breathe easy knowing your statement isn’t going to get you cancelled (joke! Sort of 😉).
You’re leaving with a statement for your website that’s gonna
Get you clear on how you really want to show up as an inclusive business.
Give a warm hello with a more inclusive and welcoming online presence.
Stop people side-eyeing and build trust instead.
Attract clients who instantly connect with your values.
(yes, in that order)
We’ll cover:
Impact over fluff. The difference between being nice and being inclusive
Your core drivers. What makes your message feel authentic (and not like a template)
The ‘how to’. Practical tips for writing a statement that’s clear, specific and actually says something.
This isn’t a ‘scribble loads of notes you never look at again’ masterclass. We're getting hands-on.
Real-time writing. I guide you step-by-step to actually write the thing there and then (not after the workshop. Which actually means never, amirite?)
Support from biz pals. There'll be time to bounce around ideas in a 2-3 person breakout room (unless you really don't want to).
Profesh polish. Once we're done, you'll send me your workshop-written draft and I'll review it to make sure it lands.
And so you get my full attention, there are only 6 spots for each session.
Meet your inclusion statement fixer
I’m Sumi (they/she). I’ve been doing Diversity, Equity and inclusion (DEI) work since before iPhones and Instagram even existed.
I've read so many bad inclusion statements, that I now have a twitch. And I'm using that knowledge to help you get it right.
What people say
“It wasn’t DEI for a giant corporation, and it wasn’t cookie-cutter for small businesses. I felt seen. Your guidance and framework was clearly the result of a lot of expertise”
— Anne, Little Skein Yarn
“It made me take swift action where I’ve been fannying about for years. Sumi’s expert critical eye gave me such helpful pointers and ideas”
— Siobhan, mentor for changemakers
“Not only am I proud of it and stand by every fucking word, it really represents us and why our business exists.”
— Pippa, Disobedient Business Co

2 payments of £75
3 payments of £50
To set up a payment plan, please complete this short payment plan request form. Once I receive your form, I'll manually set up your payment plan and send you the details.

The workshop will be held on Zoom, which offers live transcription and closed captioning. I'll also provide a Google Doc workbook that's designed to be screen-reader friendly (with proper heading structures), and the replay will have closed captions.
When you book, there’s a short form that will ask if you have any access needs, but if you’ve got any accessibility questions before then, just ping me an email at hello@sumifitzgerald.com and we’ll figure it out together.
-
I will send out a replay, but it’s an interactive workshop and the interaction is where the real magic happens. My advice? If you know you can’t make it this time, then book on a future date or drop me an email at hello@sumifitzgerald.com if you can’t find one that works

You'll have a solid, usable draft ready for your website by the end of the 90 minutes – think of it as 80% there! To get that final 20% and make it truly shine, send it to me after the workshop, and you'll receive my detailed feedback to polish it off within 7 days of submission (as long as you stick to the submission deadlines, which I'll share during the call. If those don't work for you, you can also agree different deadlines with me directly.)
-
After the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to send me your inclusion statement for feedback on how to make it even more authentic and impactful (no generic ‘good job’ here!). To avoid the inevitable ‘what if it’s sh*t?!’ procrastination, I'm giving you two choices at the end of the workshop: either hit 'send' immediately (go on, be bold!) or within about 3 days (I'll nail down the date, don't worry).
You’ll get your detailed feedback report within roughly 10 days of the workshop date (as long as you stick to the submission deadlines, or have agreed an alternative date with me). Want a final polish? You can ping your revised version back to me within a week of getting your feedback (or if life's chaotic, we can hash out another date). This keeps my sanity intact and makes sure your statement gets the focused attention it deserves, rather than getting lost in the digital wilderness.
-
Super interactive! We’re writing the statement together in an intimate group (no more than 6 people). I’ll ask for your thoughts on different inclusion statements, I’ll be answering your burning questions, you’ll be doing writing activities, and we’ll have (optional) breakouts in pairs or trios to bounce ideas. If you already know you'd prefer not to participate in breakouts, I'll provide instructions on how to easily opt out beforehand. And if you're not feeling it on the day, no worries at all – you can also opt out, in a non-awkward way, then. The chat function will also be open if that feels more comfortable for sharing.
-
Nope, just your laptop and a willingness to write (phones can be a bit challenging for juggling everything). To help you feel comfortable and prepared in whatever way works best for you, I'll be sending out an email with some optional writing prompts a few days before the workshop. No need to write anything in advance, but you might find it helpful to reflect or jot down a few notes. A detailed agenda will follow after booking so you know exactly what to expect.
-
That's what I'm here for! I'll guide you through the process. Plus, you'll have your fellow workshop attendees to bounce ideas off and of course, my final review.
